Issue: Links don't open in a new window.

Currently links in comments such as this one will navigate you away from this forum rather than opening a new tab by default.
This isn't a huge deal, but it should be fixed when possible.

Yeah, I always prefer that links should open in new windows/tabs. If there's a way to configure that via the admin ifc over the web, I hope someone finds it. I do not offer to touch the NodeBB code. If you ask, I will explain what the tradeoffs would be of doing that.

I changed the default setting for new accounts to have external links open in a new tab but it does not appear to apply retroactively to accounts that have already been created. So everyone who already has an account will have to change it themselves.
