ATTN: Forum Council Meeting Scheduled!

Hi everyone,
It's high time we meet, make some decisions, and re-up our leadership teams. If helping hone our vision and path forward for the Voting Theory Forum is something you want to help with, mark your calendars. The Voting Theory Forum is governed by our Voting Theory Council so this is essentially our board of directors meeting.Council Meeting: Sunday April 30th at 1pm PT/4pm ET. (I'm hoping this will be around an hour and a half, but please plan for longer just in case.)

Agenda will include updates from our leadership, moderators, and tech team, elections for new council, tech team, and moderators, and conversations about our vision and goals going forward. If you have agenda items for the meeting please DM me.

@sarawolk Thanks for organising this but just to check the time again - I thought Eastern time was 3 hours ahead of Pacific time, whereas your post would imply 2 hours. Should it be 4pm Eastern time?

Hey, I won't be able to attend the meeting, but I will volunteer to do DevOps work for this site if it's needed. I've been doing this kind of work for 19 years, and keeping applications/services like this online and updated is my area of expertise.

@all Hello everyone. Reminder that tomorrow we're holding our next Forum Council Meeting. Please come if you are interested in helping us steer this ship and keep growing the forum to be the resource and community we need.
We are looking for committed volunteers, moderators, and council members, and we also want to hear your thoughts and ideas. If you aren't on the council but care about the forum please feel free to join us.

Thanks to everyone who came to today's council meeting!
Cliff's Notes:
- We had nine people total and three of the four council members present.
- We were able to get through everything on the agenda, and we added a number of new people to leadership positions!
- We also made some plans and set some good intentions going forward.
- This meeting followed the trend of our previous council meetings, and all discussions passed were unanimous (with some abstentions.)
- We had general consensus to simplify our categories list, but didn't have agreement on a specific proposal, so we decided to continue the discussion here on the forum and then vote when we're ready.
Here's to a great next era of the Voting Theory Forum!
