Re: Blocking admin and moderators
-
Currently it appears to be possible for a user to block an admin or moderator so that they can't see any of their old posts. This persists even after the user has themself been banned from the forum.
It's common for there to be a rule against this on forums where it's possible because it undermines the moderators ability to do their job, but it would be great if it just wasn't possible. I suggest we look into both options.

As I said elsewhere, if I block someone then it should just stop me from seeing their posts, not vice versa. Posts are essentially public, so you'd only be stopping people from viewing your posts when logged in. It's just a bizarre feature that a lot of sites have that shouldn't exist.

I'm not saying NodeBB can't be reverse engineered, but it might not be the easiest program to do that to. It uses some kind of abstraction layer on top of the DBMS.
